What level of Chinese do you speak?

According to a Peace Corps evaluation, I speak at the "intermediate high" level. My writing lags far behind but I can write simple sentences using a computer or phone.

Where did you learn Chinese?

In Chongqing, China as a Peace Corps volunteer [masked]).

How or why did you start learning Chinese?

I started learning it because I wanted to be somewhat self-sufficient as a volunteer in China. I want to keep studying it because it's fun and fascinating!

I'm a 26 year old mid-Missouri native and graduate of Swarthmore College (2009, Philosophy major). I will be attending Harvard's Graduate School of Education from[masked]
