I am a native speaker (level 5) in Mandarin, Cantonese and Shanghainese.
Why do you join the MCLC meetup group? What are your specific needs in learning Chinese? Please provide your brief bio, a professional photo in your profile, so that other members may know whom you are.
I look forward to joing this group so that I can meet more people around this area and also help those who are interested in learning the language and culture.
What textbooks have you used/completed? Do you prefer traditional, simplified, or both?
I prefer traditional text.
What Meetup events would be interesting to you: a. practice Chinese conversation; b. cultural events such as movies and performances; c. get together for food or karaoke; d. discussion of a specific subject such as travel and poetry?
I would be interested in gatherings, friendly conversations, inter cultural exchange and cooking! So anything!
