This is a private screening of 9000 Needles, a powerful documentary about one man's journey to stroke recovery with acupuncture. This powerful documentary movie may be the groundbreaking piece of public relation this generation of TCM practitioner has been waiting for. Acupuncturists across the country are all showing their support of this movie by spreading the good news to family, friends, and patients.

Our Meetup group proudly presents a private screening of this movie to our members.

Winner of multiple film festivals for best picture and best documentary.

9000 Needles - This powerful acupuncture documentary chronicles the struggle of the director, Doug Dearth's younger brother, Devin, a 1985 Lake graduate, following a stroke at age 40. The stroke put Devin in intensive care and on life support for three weeks.

It touches on Devin?s wife, Stacey, and their battle with their insurance company, and chronicles the family?s decision to seek alternative treatment in China as he battled to walk, talk, and overcome the stroke?s devastating effects. The film?s title refers to the 9,000 acupuncture needles used during his stay in China.

Our Meetup group will be charging attendees $10 for this screening. Attendees will be given a coupon of $5.00 toward purchases at Kamwo's Online Store; you must be present in order to redeem coupon.
