When: May 14,[masked]:00 PM

Price: $15.00 per person

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: Allergy season is here and many of us will soon be suffering with itchy eyes, runny nose, headache, stuffy head, sinus infections, brain fog and all the drugs that go with treating these ailments. Some folks may additionally receive allergy treatments designed to build resistance to the offending pathogens, but why are our bodies mounting this charge against tree pollen, cat dander and dust anyway? The answer is our immune systems are hyper-reactive to normal environmental factors that in a healthy system do not elicit an immune response. If we could calm the immune system down, then we wouldn?t have any allergies anyway, and we would not need to take drugs, or undergo allergy shots.

This 90 minute talk will give a thorough discussion on the theory of seasonal allergies according to Chinese Medicine and the treatment of seasonal allergies with herbs, acupuncture, dietary therapy, neti pot and massage. The material is clinically relevant and you can integrate into your practice easily.

Adele Reising, MSTOM, is licensed and Board Certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Adele has served as Herbs department chairman at Pacific College from 1999-2006. Her academic background includes substantial academic studies in China which included hospital residencies in Beijing. Ms. Reising has a busy private practice in Manhattan and is currently continuing her medical education with Won Duk-Huang (Korean Master) and Jeffrey Yuen (Taoist Master). Our Meetup group is very happy that she has accepted our invitation to give a short talk on this topic.
