Fritz Knipschildt has a reputation for being an exacting craftsman as well as a great teacher, offering internships to aspiring chocolatiers from around the world. Now is your chance to take a hands-on class with Fritz where he will demonstrate making two different styles of truffles, hand-rolled, and shell molded. You'll participate every step of the way, from making the ganaches to enrobing.
Along the way you'll have the opportunity to ask Fritz questions during this special workshop for Meetup members in Chocopologie, the workshop/bistro Fritz operates in the heart of the up-and-coming SoNo district of Norwalk.
The class starts at 2:30 and runs until 4:00, when the shop normally closes on Sunday. After the class, we'll sit down, family style, for a prix-fixe late-afternoon meal from the Chocopologie menu - soup, small salad, and a sandwich (vegetarian options available) plus a cup of hot chocolate - all included in the price.
This is an unusual opportunity and one you won't want to miss.
