Sacramento Support for Chronic Pain's EVENING Meeting in June!

Get support from those who really know, get valuable information from those who really know, and know you are not alone!

Significant Others are Welcome!

Can the Power of the Mind Reduce Pain, Perhaps Even Help Heal the Body?
David Kenward, Clinical Hypnotherapist in Sacramento, is giving an interactive presentation to the June Sacramento Chronic Pain Meetup Group that can open your eyes to the healing possibilities within you.
Kenward focuses on practical hypnotic tools and techniques that can help anyone take back more control of their lives.
He'll discuss two areas in which hypnosis and hypnotherapy can be helpful:
1) Using direct suggestion and self-hypnosis techniques to reduce pain and other symptoms, improve energy throughout the day and help one focus on positives instead of negatives. This alone can help anyone improve the quality of their lives.
2) Using advanced hypnotherapy techniques to let go of anger, fear, pain, sadness, grief and guilt very quickly, in a matter of days or weeks vs the months or years typically found in cognitive therapy.

There will be demonstrations, with volunteers, of very deep hypnosis (rapid and instant), blocking pain, reliving past pleasant events (as a pain management tool), creating triggers for deep relaxation and more.

I enjoyed meeting some members and hearing David's presentation on pain control through hypnosis. Next time, I hope to meet the other members. Now I don't feel so bad about having RA. Hats off to Sarah for hosting a wonderful meeting in her back yard and bringing us all together!

As with all meetings I do enjoy meeting new friends in a very human world who in one way or another can relate to our pain, as individuals and as a collective group. I will be the first to say as those who had the pleasure or grace to attend that the presenter David Kenward presentation simply amazing and beautiful and noting that in observation that his volunteer a professor in pyschology gave amazing insight into their profession and how hypnotherapy is being incorporated more into modern medicine. Very enlightning. A little "mind over matter." After observing her standing up (during a moment) you could see her back pain. In something I observed a few times in the 70's and 80's feeling her wanting to try yet (reserved) she went instantly easily into a hypnotic stat as David explained the process to us, he also led her to a deep state and worked with her with questions and recall, (after) she had vivid recall of the time {something not able to do before} What was best for me was
