SUMMARY:Water works - Finsbury Park Community Gardeners July Meetup
DESCRIPTION:Finsbury Park Community Gardeners Meetup Group\n\nIn June there
were about eight humans and two ducks doing various things. The ducks were
possibly the same pair that dropped in at an earlier session\, checking ou
t the pond. This time they also went for a stroll all around the lawn and a
mongst the rest of us\, cool as cucumbers. Maybe they were looking for a p
osh duck house.\n\nThe rest of us were : clearing some of the nettles by th
 e wildflower patch (but leaving the main nettles by the pond for insects)\;
securing the flowering plants rampaging up the pergola (a gorgeous bright
white rose\, the jasmine and the sweetpeas)\; mowing the lawn\; tidying up
the veggie box and putting some of the plants on stakes\; checking the bird
bath and refilling the feeders with fat balls for the parents busy feeding
their fledglings\; tending the compost bins and generally tidying up and w
eeding.\n\nThe lavender wasn't quite blooming yet so we'll pick some next t
ime to dry in bunches for the pond (see the June info about this). There'
s still the sparrow terrace to assemble if you like a bit of carpentry. Alt
hough nesting is well underway now\, it'll still be useful as a roosting bo
x after summer .\n\nIf you fancy this sort of thing and more\, come along i
n July. \n\nPlease wear appropriate clothes and boots as well as socks to p
rotect against nettle stings. \n\nDon't forget to be sunsmart! Slip slop s
lap and wrap - a shirt\, some sunscreen\, a hat and sunglasses are always a
good idea when you're out in the summer sun for a while. \n\nAll tools are
provided\, like rakes and pruners and there's no pressure. Tasks are enti
rely optional.\n\n\nThe garden is behind the Manor House Lodge in Finsbury
Park\, which is on the left just inside the Manor House Gate to the park by
Manor House Tube station on the Piccadilly line or you can go to Finsbury
Park station and walk up through the park to the top right hand corner. Ple
nty of buses stop nearby too. See TfL's journey planner for details : www.t
fl.gov.uk/journeyplanner \n\n\nSee you there! Don't worry if you miss the
RSVP "deadline". Just drop in anyway.\n\nThe Finsbury Park Community Garde

SUMMARY:EFT and the Law of Attraction
DESCRIPTION:EFT\n\nThe Law of Attraction is working all the time - your exp
erience shows you what you believe.\n\nStart with tapping in some gratitude
  - just like when we were kids our mums insisted we write thank you notes w

that it will send you more to be grateful for.\n\nThen decide on a goal -
Achievable\, Realistic and Specific\; qualify it so that it has power for y
ou.\n\nVisualise your goal - how do you feel about your visualisation? Pow
erless? Afraid? Sick?\n\nLets tap to release all the emotional clutter gett
ing in the way of our goals\, tap in the positive and begin to realise our
 dearest wishes!\n\nLondon - United Kingdom\n\nSaturday\, July 4 at 10:00 AM

SUMMARY:KENSAL RISE CEMETERY OPEN DAY PICNIC!
DESCRIPTION:Mrs Coot's Quirky Outings\n\nReporting on his first visit to Ke
nsal Green's annual Open Day\, Evening Standard columnist Tim Lott wrote: "
There were tours of the cemetery\, a display of 20 hearses\, women with cof
 fin-shaped handbags\, penny-farthing bicycles\, a Black Sabbath tribute ban
d and a stall selling honey and jam. It was like a cross between a funeral\
, a gig by the Cure and a village fete."\n\nThought this could also be an o
pen day for the Coots to meet each other and have a nice picnic weather per
mitting!!! Great day to bring a camera as many goths come out in full dress
and they all look amazing!\n\nPrincipal events typically include:\n\nCemet
ery tours with a general introduction to Kensal Green\nCatacomb tours of th
e vaults beneath the Anglican Chapel \nSpecialist tours including The Great
and the Good\, and Ne'er-Do-Wells \nFriends' bookstall at the Anglican Cha
pel\nChildren's face painting and dress-up with costumes for Victorian Mute
s and Mourners\nDisplay and motorcade of classic hearses from the Classic H
earse Register\nDisplays and stalls from other cemetery societies\, local h
istory groups and specialists in items and services of particular interest
to the Friends of historical cemeteries\, including jewellery\, photographs
\, and original and reproduction Victorian mourning dress\n\nANY COSTS\nTou
r tickets are sold on the day at the booth on the porch of the Anglican Cha
pel\; early booking is strongly advised as tours usually sell out by early
afternoon. Cemetery tours cost three pounds per head\, start at the steps o
f the Anglican Chapel\, and last about an hour\; catacomb tours cost two po
unds per head\, start at the door of the Anglican Chapel\, and last about t
hirty minutes. Tours keep to the main paths\, but sensible shoes -- and pro
tection from sun or rain as the day demands -- are advisable\n\nLOGISTICS:\
n\nEnter the main gate of the cemetery (Harrow Rd) and walk to The Anglican
Chapel which is in the centre. Just before this you will see grass! This w
ould be a nice place to sit and have our picnic and be our base.. People ca
n then wander around\, take the tours and see the amazing underground catac
ombs as various points in the day. I will be there from 12pm sitting on my
 Cooty blanket :-)\n\nLondon - United Kingdom\n\nSaturday\, July 4 at 12:00

SUMMARY:Henley Royal Regatta
DESCRIPTION:Purely Social (Reading)\n\nHenley Royal Regatta is a rowing eve
nt held every year on the River Thames by the town of Henley-on-Thames. Th
e regatta lasts for 5 days (Wednesday to Sunday) over the first weekend in
July. Races are head-to-head knock out competitions\, raced over a course o
 f 1 mile\, 550 yards (2\,112 m). The regatta regularly attracts internation
al crews to race. The most prestigious event at the regatta is the Grand Ch
allenge Cup for Men's Eights\, which has been awarded since the regatta was
first staged in 1839. The regatta has been known as Henley Royal Regatta
since 1851\, when Prince Albert became the first royal patron. Since his de
ath\, every reigning monarch has agreed to be the patron.\n\nI'll be going
to watch from the Regatta Enclosure\, which costs £20 to enter. There are
bars and restaurants inside this enclosure as well as deckchair-style seati
ng and a small grandstand. It is possible to watch the races from the towp
ath but I've been informed that there isn't much space there & no official
seating. I'm going to try to book us a table in the Luncheon Marquee for l
unch as no food or drink is allowed to be brought in to the enclosure. Ther
e are several choices of food including self-service options. \n\nThere is
no dresscode for the Regatta Enclosure but I've heard that people join in
with the atmosphere & generally dress up. I'll be wearing a dress (YES\, T
 HAT'S RIGHT\, I WILL BE WEARING A DRESS!!!)\n\nTickets - These cost £20 for
the day's entrance into the Regatta Enclosure. Lunch not included in this
price. In order to get a badge (ticket)\, you can either send a cheque fo
r £20 together with the booking form to the Regatta in advance - download t
he form from the website www.hrr.co.uk - or you can take a chance & buy you
r ticket from the entrance to the enclosure on the day itself. \n\nAs I h
ave already bought my tickets for this event\, my suggestion is that people
RSVP on this site then buy their own tickets (badges) by post. Let me kno
w as soon as possible that you're intending to come & we can arrange a meet
-up place. \n\nIf you need any other details\, you can check out the webs
 ite\, or give me a call - 07803 031927.\n\nReading - United Kingdom\n\nSatu

SUMMARY:Hidden Treasures of the Mary Rose Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:London Cultureseekers Meetup Group\n\nFor the first time outsid
e of Portsmouth\, artefacts from Henry VIII's flagship\, The Mary Rose are
going to be on display at the Whitgift Conference centre in Croydon.\n\nThe
Mary Rose was an English Tudor carrack warship. It was the pride of the E
nglish fleet. Built in Portsmouth\, England (1509–1510) she was thought to
be named after King Henry VIII's sister Mary and the rose\, the Tudor emble
 m. \nAfter serving for over thirty years\, she sank in the Solent during an
engagement with the French fleet on 19 July 1545. The surviving section of
the ship was raised in 1982 and is now on display in Portsmouth Historic D
ockyard.\n\nThe Exhibition reveals stunning hidden treasures from the Mary
Rose\, and uncover the fascinating stories behind them. As well as displayi
ng many of the finest\, previously unseen treasures and provides fascinatin
g insights into the daily life of those onboard. \n\nEntry to the exhibitio
n is £8 each. \n\nWe are aiming to meet up outside WH Smith at Victoria ma
inline station at 1pm and catch a train to South Croydon which takes about
30 minutes. South Croydon station is in zone 5.\n\nAfterwards we can head
to a local cafe or bar for a chat over a drink. If you can't see us at the
  station\, give me a call.\n\nHope to see you there!\n\nRegards\n\nRobert\n

which has been lovingly turned into a Tibetan temple by the Society for th

get lost in Tibet. The Dalai Lama planted a tree in the courtyard on his vi

SUMMARY:Argentine Tango - Beginners & Improvers - 4th July
DESCRIPTION:The London Dance Club\n\nAJ’s Classes in Argentine Tango for Be

It is smooth & sensual - a dance of the heart!\nIt is not difficult! If you
can walk\, you can tango!\n\nNo need to bring a partner. We will rotate pa
 rtners.\n\nSat 4th July\, Beginners 4:30 – 5:45pm\; Improvers 5:45 – 7:30pm
 \n\nBeginners £3 per session\nImprovers £4 per session\nImprovers are encou
raged to attend the beginners’ sessions for no extra charge\n\nI am also av
ailable for private lessons at £15 per hour (excluding hire of space if nec
essary). For a private lesson at Chisenhale during the hour before the begi
 nners' class\, I will charge only £10 (+ £8 for the space)\n\n\n\nWHERE\n\n
PURPLE DOOR - not black door\nChisenhale Dance Space\n64-84 Chisenhale Road
 \nLondon E3 5QZ\n\nTap water and toilet facilities are available.\n\n\nSHOE
S\n\nSpecialist shoes are not required. The basic requirement is that the s
hoes should allow you to spin (twist) on the ball of your foot. Leather\, s
uede or smooth plastic soles will be ideal. Avoid shoes that will grip the
floor\, such as rubber soles or trainers.\n\nTIP - Duck Tape (Duct Tape) ca
n temporarily convert unsuitable shoes. Just stick strips of it to the sole
 s. Can be bought from DIY stores.\n\n\nGETTING THERE\n\nNearest Underground
Station is Mile End (Central\, District and Hammersmith & City Line)\, Zon
e 2\nJourney time from Central London (Holborn) to Mile End is only 12 minu
tes.\n\nThe studio is about 15 mins walk from Mile End. There are regular b
uses along Grove Road in that direction to St Barnabas Church\, junction of
Roman Road / Grove Road from where it is only a few minutes walk.\n\nBUSES
FROM MILE END (Stop G)\nNo 277 going to Highbury Corner\nNo 425 going to K
 enninghall Road\nNo 339 going to Fish Island / Wick Lane\n\nThe Transport f
or London (TFL) website is very good to find the best travel option.\n\nI w
ill be travelling by car and can offer up to 4 people lifts. Pick up from &
drop back to Mile End by prior arrangement. If anyone else is willing to o
ffer lifts\, please let me know.\n\nParking - there are restrictions until
5:30pm\, however some spaces in adjoining roads have free parking for 2 hou
rs\, so effectively free after 3:30pm\n\n\nABOUT ME AND WHY I WANT TO TEACH
TANGO\n\nThere are many teachers of Tango in London who are great dancers
but poor teachers. In my opinion the basics are often not taught very well.
I regularly meet people who have been learning with well known teachers f
or many months who still don't have a good grasp of the basics. I am hoping
to help people in this respect so that more will feel the essence of tango
and not give up with frustration. The plan is to get people as quickly as
possible to dance socially - not just attend classes. In my experience\, go
od dancers became good dancers by dancing regularly\, not just attending cl
asses.\n\nI have been dancing Argentine Tango for over 4 years. Over that t
ime I have studied with a great many teachers. The list includes: Eric Jeur
 rissen\, Pablo Pugliese\, Esther & Mingo Pugliese\, Pablo Veron\, Gato Vald
 ez & Andrea Monti\, Pastor Jurado\, Homer & Christina Ladas\, Adrian & Aman
da Costa\, Veronique Bouscasse\, Pablo Nievas & Valeria Zunnino\, Santiago
 y Sandra Monticelli\, Joaquin Amenabar and some local teachers.\n\nI am a r
egular at the London milongas (dance nights).\n\n\nMY APPROACH\n\nLearn the
basics well - a good foundation will help you make quick progress later\n
\nTechnique - without good technique your partners will not enjoy yo
ur dance!\n \nConnection - the secret of social dancing most teacher
 s don't teach!\n \nMusicality - learn to dance to the music! - tang
o\, milonga and vals \n \n\nI believe there is a good analogy
between learning tango and learning a language.\n\nLanguage of speech
 -----> Language of Tango\n        \nsimple sounds - phonemes -----> basic m
 oves e.g. forward step\, side step\n        \nwords -----> concepts - self
 contained blocks of movements e.g. ocho\, giro\n \nmeaningful senten
ces -----> improvised sequences to the music\n\n\n\nHYGIENE\n\nPlease take
care with person hygiene issues such as body odour & bad breath! Should be
obvious to most\, but needs to be said.\n\n\n\nAJ\n07984 023779\n\nLondon -

the most seclusive hidden garden in London. Plus to top it off\, I have hi
red outside caterers to create my dream BBQ! \n\nFor me... a dream BBQ is.

SUMMARY:Shakti Dance Worksho: Re-defining the Feminine
DESCRIPTION:London Shakti Dance Meetups\n\nThe theme this time will be on '
Re-defining Feminine Energy'\, as this feels personally important to me and
also rather prevalent in these current times of turbulent change. In deali
ng and adapting with all these changes in our times\, we need to understand
what balanced female-receptive energy is all about\, as this is the energy
which will be carrying us in the new age of Aquarius.\n\nThe theme of this
dance workshop applies to both men & women so I hope all the men out there
are just as interested to understand and re-define their relationship with
feminine energy as women are. We all have a feminine side and it is import
ant that we can connect with\, understand and bond the connection between p
olar energies where opposites attract. It is also about balancing the male-
female polarities. \n\nThrough Shakti dance we will link physical movement
and feminine flowing yoga to our relationship with feminine energy\, dancin
g and enhancing our understanding of the Universal flow and intuitive/recep
tive energy of the feminine archetype. Through this sacred dance we will be
honoring female energy\, and in so doing discovering the power of woman-Sh
akti\, which will balance and empower the the collective consciousness!\n\n
By bringing the feminine energy into balance we automatically balance mascu
line energy.\n\nWe are now moving into the Age of Aquarius\; Aquarius is kn
own as the Water-Bearer\; this figure symbolizes balanced male/female energ
y – and is our Holy Grail. We connect most strongly to female energy throug
h the elements of Earth\, Water and Ether. \nIt will be a beautiful\, gentl
e dance through all elements embodying our feminine polarity.\n\nThe finer
qualities of woman need to be striven for in both men and women so that uni
ty of Spirit can be achieved. The Aquarian Spirit is about collaboration wi
thout control\, and co-operation without competition. Through understanding
balanced female energy we come to understand this gentle\, flowing energy
as one without games or control. The highest ideal of both male and female
is Unity\, and freeness of love without jealousy. \n\nAll states of balance
 d energy are a beautiful\, joy-filled experience...whichever form it takes.
However\, the main focus of this workshop will be balancing the polarities
and connecting with our feminine energy.\n\nIn so doing\, we re-define way
s which honour and empower our inner Shakti.\nCome along and dance the danc
e of the sacred feminine with Maha Shakti.\nYou will feel so much more beau
ty\, grace and harmony in your life as a result. \n\nBeginners welcome\, no
dance/yoga experience\, mats provided. \nBring clothes you can stretch and
  move in\, a relaxation blanket/shawl & drinking water\n\nLondon - United K

SUMMARY:Bowling\, Drinks and Salsa dancing. Yeaaa!!!
DESCRIPTION:London English-Portuguese Language exchange Meetup Group\n\nI t
hought this might be a fun weekend activity for the group. We can go bowlin
g first\, and then in the same shopping centre on the ground floor\, there
is a Latin club\, La Bodeguita\, where we can have drinks and some snacks\,
and at night\, 11pm\, the Salsa live entertainment and dancing begin. \n\n
Come on let's have fun and laugh at each others terrible bowling. The perso
n with the lowest score has to buy everyone drinks. Just joking . \n\nThe E
lephant and Castle shopping centre is right above the Elephant &amp\; Castl
e tube station (last stop on the Bakerloo line).\n\nI chose this location b
ecause although it is not as nice as some of the central London bowling ven
ues\, it is a lot cheaper and has more bowling lanes. The cost for 2 games
is £9.00\, and includes the shoe rental.\n\nPlease indicate if you will be
available so I can reserve the bowling lanes. And please be punctual\, as w
e cant start till everyone is present.\n\nYou can reach me at 07519 036 935
on the day if you need to.\n\n\nPortuguês (...ou pelo menos\, a minha tent

grupo.

the full menu is highly recommended if you can stretch to something in the
£15-20 range.\n\nArrive at Liverpool Street by 10am so you have time to buy
a day return to Wickford for around £12. Catch the 10:15 Southend Victoria
train\, TAKING IT ONLY AS FAR AS WICKFORD. This arrives in Wickford at 11:
 01. Wickford is the stop after Billericay.\n\nHeather will lead the ride fr

will be available at my place before we set off. \n\nThe ride is very rura
 l:\nhttp://www.benlovejoy.com/cycle/tripreports/fyfield/route-ge.jpg\n\nThe
re are one or two slightly sections of non-trunk A-roads\, but most of it i
 s on B-roads or smaller.\n\nIt's about 22 miles to the pub\, where we'll ha
ve a leisurely lunch in the garden. You can bring your bikes right into the
garden. After lunch\, it's about 25 miles back via a slightly different ro
ute. We might make a cafe for a cake-stop\, otherwise there's the option of
more tea at my place before you head back to the station.\n\nPlaces are li
mited\, so please only RSVP Yes if you will definitely take part.\n\nPlease
bring:\n- waterproofs (to guarantee good weather!)\n- spare inner-tube (to

small bursts of theory (10 minutes) followed by immediate practical exercis

to spend 50% of your practical time being a model for your partner. If you
really don't like having your photo taken please don't book on this course
\, although I strongly recommend that as a photographer you should get used
to being a model so you begin to understand photography from the other sid

SUMMARY:Drum\, Dance & Learn some amazing tunes with Malik Tebrizli
DESCRIPTION:The London Drum Circle Meetup Group\n\nHello All\, \n\nWe have
an amazing musician who will be running the drum circle\, his name is Malik
Tebrizli\, there is more on Malik below\, you can listen to some tracks fr
om his Myspace page\n\nhttp://www.myspace.com/tebrizli\n\nBorn in Tabriz\,
in the Azerbaijani region of Iran\, Malik taught himself Nagara\, a traditi

to go to university and continue his professional music career in the capit
al. When in Tehran\, Malik began training as a classical singer and he also
got the opportunity to meet and study with Almas Goliov\, the Master Nagar
a player from Baku. \n\nThis encounter had a huge impact on Malik’s musical
development and his talents blossomed resulting in him achieving first pla
ce in the ‘Sunrise’ national music festival in Tehran for three consecutive
years. Despite having studied to be a Chemical Engineer\, he found his pas
sion lay in his music and inspired by the mix of cultures in the multi-ethn
ic capital\, Malik started to play the Persian Tombak\, the Kurdish Daf and
the Arabic Darbuka as well as his first instrument the Nagara. \n\nHe qui
ckly reached to a high standard and began teaching in the top music schools
in Tehran\, started playing for national TV and radio studios\, collaborat
ing with dancers and performing in various concerts and festivals throughou
t the country and worldwide. Malik’s desire to experience different culture
s and create unique fusions inspired him to leave Iran and come to the UK\,
where he has been able to develop his style further through working with m
usicians from all over the world\, thereby deepening his knowledge of Weste
rn\, Latin and African rhythms. \n\nThrough an exploration of different eth

SUMMARY:Wimbledon Village get together for the Men's Finals!!
DESCRIPTION:South West Londoners' Social Group\n\nTo join in with the Wimbl

he Common Room is a very popular pub/bar with an outdoor terrace. They will
be showing the tennis on 5 plasma screens in the pub and it has proved in
the past to be very popular. The atmosphere will hopefully be electric cons
idering that it is only 1/4 mile from Centre Court. Please ensure that you
get here for midday as the final starts at 2pm. I will hold as many sitting
spaces as I can as I am unable to book a table as they do not take reserva
tions during the Wimbledon fortnight. \n\nThe pub serves some great food fo
r those of you that want a bite to eat! Please check out the website for m

\nNo matter how many books and workshops\, trainings we do to improve our k

Other-Beloved to mirror us?\nTo accept and acknowledge us?\nTo heal and to
complete us.\nTo know us and be for us what we can not be for ourselves?\n
\nWhen do we confuse receiving "love" with energetic "neediness"?\n\nThis w
orkshop is to explore the energetic (unconscious) dynamics of Love versus N
eed in relationship to the Other-Beloved and the Self.\n\nWhat would shift
when we start loving our Selves?\nHow would our lives be different when we
stop projecting our wholeness onto the Magical Other-Beloved?\n\nIn prepara

Let's do what we do best and others don't :) Bring some photos on your ipho

DESCRIPTION:Integral Kundalini Yoga\n\nClasses at Peckham Pulse every Sunda

lots of light overlooking the swimming pool\, plenty of room\, no need to b

usion Members Free. Public £9.25\n\nSundays 12.30-1.30pm Harris Sports Cen
 tre\, Homestall Road\, East Dulwich\, SE22 0NR (020) 7732 2276 Fusion Membe
rs Free\, Public £7.50\n\nWhat to Expect\nYoga is practiced bare foot\, wea
ring loose comfortable clothing - psychologically and physically comfortabl
 e. The simpler the clothing the better. A T-shirt and a pair of tracksuit b
ottoms or yoga trousers is good. Jeans will restrict your movement and may
become abrasive. Many people choose to wear plain white clothing.\n\nLong h
air should be tied up out of the way (traditionally in a top-knot known as
a ‘rishi knot’) or covered with a scarf or turban.\n\nMats are provided at
all Fusion centres although you are welcome to bring your own. Please bring
a bottle of water. The room will be warmed during relaxation periods but y
ou may like to bring a blanket\, shawl or warm top to cover yourself with d
uring deep relaxation.\n\nA Kundalini Yoga class begins with a mantra\, thi
s helps to bring our mind into the practice. We chant 'Ong Namo Guru Dev Na
mo' meaning 'I bow to the infinite wisdom within myself'. Our practice clo
ses with the mantra 'Sat Nam' meaning 'I am the truth'. The mantras are NOT
religious and it is not necessary to know their meanings.\n\nPlease let th
e instructor know if you suffer from any chronic health condition which cou
ld be exacerbated by physical exercise. particularly –\n\nhead or spinal in
jury\,\nheart condition or high blood pressure\,\ncataracts or other intra-
ocular pressure\nbreathing difficulty\, diabetes or epilepsy.\nRecent or ma
jor surgery.\nIf you are over three months pregnant please contact the inst
ructor to discuss the suitability of the class. Yoga is extremely beneficia
l during pregnancy\, but you may be better advised to find a specialist pre
-natal teacher.\n\nAdvice on Practice\nKundalini Yoga is a complete system
of development that will systematically build the strength of muscles\, the
nervous system and internal organs. You may find the first month challengi
ng\, there may be some exercise that you cannot do\, but the synergistic ef
fect of exercises within a Kriya will enable rapid development. Every class
will contain a spectrum of exercises\, some will be more physically demand
ing than others. Do what feels comfortable\, don’t force your body into pos
itions it doesn’t want to do. Take care when doing any exercise involving t
he joints particularly the neck and the knees\, if you know you have a prob
lem with particular joints please talk to the instructor.\n\nYoga teachings
tend to assume that the practitioner has the use of two arms and two legs.
If this isn’t you\, please talk to the instructor. The body is a useful le
ver but the goal of yoga is beyond the body.\n\nIf all of this seems too mu
ch to learn\, just remember this: Kundalini Yoga is very simple.\n\nListen
to your intuition\nRelax into the exercises\nEnjoy the process!\n\n\nLondon

SUMMARY:Tropical Malady (2004) - Dir: Apichatpong Weerasethakul
DESCRIPTION:The Art House Cinema Meetup\n\nTropical Malady begins with a fo
reboding quote from Japanese novelist Ton Nakajima: “All of us are by natur
e wild beasts. Our human duty is to keep our animal in check and even teach
it to perform tasks alien to its bestiality.” This enigmatic film\, the th
ird from Thai art house director Apichatpong Weerasthakul and winner of the
2004 Prix du Jury at Cannes\, is a work of haunting beauty in two congruen
t parts: an idyllic romance between a young soldier and a country boy\, fol
lowed by a hallucinatory night-time chase through a dark forest. This is a
strikingly original film that rewards patience with a magnificent meditatio
n on memory\, suffering\, and human desire. I'll bet the Wimbledon men's fi
nal\, around the same time\, can't match that. Advance booking is a good id
ea.\n\n.\n\n“Garlanded with awards\, Apichatpong’s visionary film exists in
dual realms\, exploring connected themes of love and desire in a radically
different way. A fractured love story is interrupted by a feverish night-t
ime odyssey into the heart of the jungle where shape-shifting spirits and t
igers abound. The conscious and the subconscious\, the modern and the ancie
nt\, reality and myth\; all become magically entwined in this hypnotic\, my
sterious drama.”—Second Run\n\n“This is a work of outstanding originality a
nd power that comes nearer to the condition of the quest and the dream-stat
e than any film in recent years. It requires a relaxed and open mind to wat
ch it\, be consumed by it\, and enjoy its great and fearful symmetry.”—Roge
r Clarke\, Sight and Sound\n\n“Like all the great visionaries\, Mr. Weerase
thakul guides his audience toward the infinite\, indicating a territory bey
ond words\, sounds\, or images. "Tropical Malady" expands and invigorates t
 he cinema.”—Nathan Lee\, New York Sun\n\n.\n\nInterview in Reverse Shot:\n\
nIt seems like you’re very interested in mythmaking and fairy tales. What a
re you trying to update in the idea of the fairy tale?\n\nApichatpong: It’s
something that reminds me of my childhood. Something uncomplicated. When I
shoot the location of the jungle\, the location speaks something of an unc
omplicated life\, because when we’re in the jungle we realize how dependent
we are on technology and what we use when we’re in the city. So for me tha
t space reminds us of our ancient times\, of living in caves\, and not need
ing many things to survive. So it’s the idea of this contrast between the c
ity and the jungle\, and darkness and light\, and happiness and suffering.
And when applying the myth and storytelling\, you need both sides. Because
one side is uncomplicated\, like for the kids\, and another side is the sid
e that is quite dark\, I’m interested in the existence of two different sid
 es in everything\, the real versus the fictional.\n\nLondon SW1Y 5AH - Unit

SUMMARY:Midweek - Sailing in the Solent July 2009
DESCRIPTION:The London Sailing & Boating Meetup Group\n\nHi all\, \n\nI hav
e booked myself on a 2 day midweek sailing trip on the 6th and 7th of July
 with \n\nhttp://www.oceanadventuressailing.com\n\nThere are five vacancies
left on the trip and was wondering if anyone in the group would be interest
ed in joining me. \n\nCost\nThe cost is £160 per person \n\nThis includes 2
days sailing\, breakfast\, snacks and drinks on board the yacht. Wet weath
er gear and lifejackets included at no extra cost. We will probably be spen
ding the first night in Cowes with a meal and a few drinks in a local pub.
The boat is a 42' Bavaria with individual berths \, hot and cold pressurise
d water.\n\nIf you are interested and want more info contact me on andrewwh
elan@hotmail.com. \n\nI will then book the trip or alternatively book it yo
urself via the website link. I have booked these dates because I am a shift
worker and have plenty of time off during the week. This was the only compa
ny I could find that can cater for midweek cruises.\n\n\nHere is a rough it
inery of what the trip will involve :---\n\nOcean Adventures Sailing - Sole
nt Sailing Weekend\n\nWelcome to Ocean Adventures\, I am pleased to confirm

y time you would like further information please do not hesitate to contact
one of our team either by phone or e-mail.\n\n\n\nThe Yacht\n\nThe yacht w

ever take more than six people sailing. \n\nQuintessence is an extremely co
mfortable yacht\, and it is usually possible for you to enjoy the privacy o
f your own cabin\, with wash hand basin and adjacent heads compartment (toi
let). \n\nQuintessence benefits from central heating and pressurised hot an
d cold running water\; in addition\, full marina facilities including showe
