Our Meetup group is a business book club with a leaning toward technology and culture. We founded our book club in March 2011, and meet roughly every six weeks to discuss a new book. Members take turns choosing a book for the group to read. Our main focus is on the confluence of business and technology, but some books have little or nothing to do with technology, and no technical experience/expertise is necessary to join.

The purpose of this meetup group is to get experienced, intermediate (i.e., some BB, some B, some C) co-ed volleyball players together to play competitive pick up volleyball (often 3's or 4's, sometimes 2's or 6's). This group is not intended for beginner / recreational players. The players should be at an intermediate level (thus the group name), so the play should be competitive (but not necessarily always at an "advanced" level). Please read the "About Us" page for more details. In short, you …

We're generally interested in practical topics and discussion of various techniques. We have a wide range of backgrounds, so most people walk away from each meeting having heard of a topic the …

Join with others to create a revolutionary vision for a new egalitarian society. Help to develop a strategy to realize and implement this vision. We start with the premise that capitalism and its model of profit and plunder are inherently at odds with the health and well being of the people. We start also with the bedrock values of liberty, justice, human rights, equality, democracy, community, co-operation, sustainability, and nonvio …

We hike and snowshoe in and near the Twin Cities. Occasionally we trail run, have naturalist-led hikes, night hikes, or take an extended off-trail jaunt. Join us if you enjoy hiking as part a group, are reasonably fit, and want a slightly more athletic and adventurous hike than usually available elsewhere on Meetup. Although we are still hoping for snow, we are resigned that this may not happen. "Snowshoe Express" is shifting back into its all-season "Avid Hikers" mode. That means that unless …
