On Monday, July 4, 2011, the Town of Flower Mound will host a celebration like never before. By combining the celebration of Independence for the United States with their own 50th Anniversary celebration, presenting Independence Fest 2011.
With an exciting fireworks show that follows the free concert featuring classic rock icons Grand Funk Railroad at Bakersfield Park.
Independence Fest 2011 will also host performances by Professor D and Mound of Sound, a vintage car show presented by Memory Lane Car Shows, a showcase of our local businesses, and a completely FREE Kid’s Zone complete with bounce houses, face painting, and more.

All activities and events are FREE.
WHAT CAN I BRING INTO THE FESTIVAL?
Chairs-in-a-bag, blankets and strollers
Cameras and binoculars
Depending on the weather forecast, it may be a good idea to bring sunscreen, insect repellent or umbrellas.
WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED INTO THE FESTIVAL?
No ice chests are allowed.
Alcoholic beverages will not be allowed in or out of the festival grounds, but will be sold on site.
No weapons of any kind (firearms, knives, etc).
No Illegal narcotics or contraband.
No skateboards, bicycles, Segways or scooters.
This is a NON-SMOKING event, per Town of Flower Mound Ordinance No. 71-08.
