Santa Cruz Chorale: Jubilate Deo

The Santa Cruz Chorale wraps up their 3-concert season with Jubilate Deo, a performance featuring Mozart's Missa Brevis, plus music by Purcell, Monteverdi, Gibbons, and others. Read more about the concert here. Purchase your tickets online or at the door. Seats are not reserved.

Find me on the church steps between 3:15 and 3:30. At 3:30 I will go in and save a block of seats near the front. Look for me in my red beret.

The Santa Cruz Chorale always puts on beautiful concerts. I hope you can join us!

Having just finished a mind-bending week at the Berkeley Early Music Festival, this concert is right up my alley. See you there!

By and large I loved it. However, I was there from Sunday through Sunday, so I got a wider range of experiences than you did. Some fantastic concerts, some new delights, and I was moved to tears by the Davis High School Baroque Orchestra. (New historical performers for the future!) But there were some screw-ups, such as putting Hopkinson Smith playing therobo, in a huge cavern like St. Mark's, where no one beyond the fourth row could hear him. (Purist, shmurist: give the guy a mic, so we can all appreciate him!)
