It's been a while since we've attended a concert in the Cabrillo Distinguished Artists Series. This one sounds like a winner. Acclaimed pianist James D'Leon performs music by Beethoven, Liszt, Albeniz, and Tsontakis. The Philadelphia Inquirer called D'Leon's playing "exciting pianism filled with powerful emotion."
Purchase your ticket online at Brown Paper Tickets. Once you choose a section and add it to your cart, the site lets you see your seat. If you don't like the seat, you can keep hitting the "Assign New Seats" button until you find a seat you like. I will be sitting in seat B-113 on the keyboard side. Tickets will most likely be available at the door too.
We'll meet in the lobby of the recital hall before the concert at 2:45. We'll meet there again at intermission and after the concert. Look for me in my red beret.
For those who are interested, we can make plans during intermission to go out for a snack or early dinner after the concert. I'll come with a few restaurant suggestions. Feel free to bring your own suggestions too. Hope to see you there!
