Announcing a new Meetup for The Santa Cruz Classical Music, Theater, Dance Meetup Group!

What: Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro"

When: May 30,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: Please join us as we take advantage of yet another Santa Cruz treasure. I've heard these UCSC opera productions are excellent. Nicole Paiement conducts the UCSC Orchestra and singers in a fully staged production of Mozart's comic opera, "Le Nozze di Figaro," or "The Marriage of Figaro," performed in Italian with English supertitles: http://www.ucsc.edu/news_events/calendar/DisplayEvent.aspx?EventId=16498. The opera recounts a single day in the palace of the Count Almaviva in Spain and includes infidelities, revelations, mistaken identities, and lots of beautiful music.

Seating is reserved, and good seats are selling fast. Order your ticket online at Santa Cruz Tickets -- http://www.santacruztickets.com -- or call the UCSC box office:[masked]-2159. Contact other members of the group by email if you'd like to arrange to sit together.

Our evening will begin at 5:45 with dinner at Omei Restaurant, 2316 Mission Street, Santa Cruz. I will make a reservation under my name. Be sure to change your RSVP if you decide not to come. At 6:55 we'll drive up to the campus. If you can't join us for dinner, look for us in the lobby between 7:10 and 7:20. We'll meet in the lobby again at intermission. I will be wearing my red beret.
