Announcing a new Meetup for The Santa Cruz Classical Music, Theater, Dance Meetup Group!

What: Baroque Festival: Shakespeare's London

When: Saturday, February 20,[masked]:30 PM

UCSC Music Center Recital Hall
Heller & Meyer Dr.
Santa Cruz, CA 95064

After our big event at the Symphony last month, here's a smaller event for the early music lovers among us. Julianne Baird, soprano, along with Richard Savino, lutes, Linda Burman-Hall, virginal, and Audrey Stanley, Shakespearean reader, bring us an evening of Elizabethan and Baroque music from England. As a recorder player, I am a big fan of Thomas Morley, whose music will be included in the program. Read more about the concert at the Baroque Festival website. I suggest you purchase your tickets in advance. Seats are not reserved, so we can all sit together.

We will meet for dinner at 5:45 at Thai Orchid Restaurant, 2238 Mission Street, Santa Cruz. I will make a dinner reservation, so be sure to let me know your dinner plans, and let me know if your plans change too. Thanks!

At 6:45 we will drive up to the University. If you can't join us for dinner, look for us in the lobby of the theater at 7 pm, and again at intermission and after the concert. I will be wearing my red beret.
