I'm currently a music major at PCC looking to transfer after this year. I play trumpet and have been involved with marching/concert band, drum and bugle corps, big band jazz, and chamber ensembles. It's so hard to find people these days who truly app
It's sometimes very difficult and frustrating to find people who enjoy listening and talking about classical music. As a musician I feel that music, not necessarily classical 24/7, is essential to one's life(it's been said repeatedly over the centuries, but the priniciple remains the same). whether you're a long time listener or new to the game, it's comforting to actually meet people who you can feel comfortable talking about this kind of music with rather than talking to some clueless nut. The people are very friendly and open and they can introduce you to pieces and/or composers you may not be as familiar with.
