Daniel Chorzempa's 1990 recording of Bach's Organ transcriptions of 3 Vivaldi concerti.  BWV 593 in the group is of special interest because I am trying to coach my 14 y.o. and her classmate to perform the original Vivaldi for 2 violin.  I thought they would appreciate the music more if they knew that Bach thought well enough of it to blantantly swipe it.  Regardless, it is a very well put-together disc.

How about we send some messages about music? What recordings (CDs or mp3s) are you currently fascinated by?

Right now I am really fascinated by Brahms' chamber music. Just received a complete recording of the Quartets and Quintets by the Amadeus Quartet plus Chritoph Eschenbach. Listening to the first quartet. Heavenly!
