What are some of your favorite classical guitar pieces/composers?

I love Torroba (castles of spain, sonatina, and many others - especially played by my one of favorite guitarists - David Russell), also love Ponce (preludes etc - love the CD Adam Holzman put out on Naxos). I will never tire of hear the Bach lutes suites - especially suite nbr 2. Other works I really love include - villa lobos - Suite Populaire Bresilienne, Tres Piezas Españolas by Rodrigo, Albeniz -Seville, Granada, Cordoba - and many others...

How did you become interested in classical guitar?

I first became interested when a friend of mine in high school started studying it and was learning some bach pieces from one of the Frederic Noad books.

Have you been to a classical guitar concert recently that you really liked?

several - Zoran Dukić, Beijing Guitar Duo, and Johannes Möller

Introduction

I have played other styles guitar for a long time, and several years ago took up the study of classical guitar - I have always loved the sound of it - a unique, intimate sound that sets it apart from piano and other instruments.
