What are some of your favorite classical guitar pieces/composers?

La Cathedra, Fernando Sor, Maurio Guiliani, Antoine Dufour, Andy McKee, Don Ross, the Romeros, Andre Segovia, Leyenda Asturias, Paco De Lucia, Carlos Montoya, John Williams, Shin Ichi Fukuda, the Grand Overture, Oh Seung Cook

How did you become interested in classical guitar?

I found John Williams' version of Leyenda Asturias on YouTube, and have been hooked ever since. My guitar instructor then got me a lot more exposed to it and helped me understand what makes this style so unique.

Have you been to a classical guitar concert recently that you really liked?

Sadly, I have only ever been to one classical guitar concert, but I enjoyed it very, very much.

Introduction

I have had a deep interest in classical guitar for about 2 1/2 years now, and took lessons for about a year before my funds dried up. Since then I have been doing my best to continue practicing on my own whenever I can while going to school.

What Mike is saying about this Meetup Group

Amazing! I learned a lot and saw some really good talent. Well beyond my expectations.
