Jim, try this. I found it in the help section:
You can add a photo to the details for an upcoming Meetup as long as you've either saved in your computer or uploaded it to one of your Meetup Group's albums. If creating a new Meetup, go to Schedule a Meetup under Group Tools.

If editing an existing Meetup, navigate to the Meetup event's page by clicking on its title in your group's home page. Hover over the event's details box and click the CHANGE link that appears in the upper right of the box.

Then, in the details section, click your cursor where you'd like the photo to go. Click the 'Add image' photo icon at the top left of the editing bar.

I note that there's a photo section to this site but I don't see a tool individual members can use to post photos. Perhaps that's by design, or perhaps I'm overlooking something, but in any case, it could prove useful if photos were posted to illustrate what any upcoming (or past) event is (or was) about; after all, a picture really is worth a thousand words. One or more images of Colleen's work accompanying this event announcement might draw more members to the meetup than a purely verbal description.
