Art Around with Philly Art Social

Philadelphia Art Social will enjoy Meeting Up with others in your local area who love the Arts. Encouraging fine artist, pencilers, inkers, painters, photographers, sculptors, conceptual artists, performance artists, filmmakers, graphic designers, digital artist, art collectors, event coordinators and even those who do not create but would love learn how or who love art to join and connect.

Philly Art Social members gather to discuss techniques, share critiques, and offer gallery/exhibiting advice -remotely and in-person for First Fridays. And we support each other during gallery showings/openings. To stay social, We connect over happy hours, for tea and/or cocktails, and light dinners to engage in getting to know each other and share our details of projects. We encourage all the members of this group to have creative collaborations with our members, connect, enjoy and grow our trade with each other, while feeling confident to build relationships with groups who are not artist yet are interested in the artistic world.

Hi Friends, we've moved our Board Games Night to Glory Beer Bar and you can arrive early for Happy Hour! The entire evening will run from 6pm to 10pm, starting with Happy Hour which runs until 6:30pm. We bring our own board games & will be setting up on the 2nd Floor, a large space with big tables and our own bar where we can order food & drinks!

Glory Beer Bar & Kitchen (126 Chestnut Street)
Ideally located in Old City on Chestnut Street between Front & 2nd Streets, Glory feels both old & new. The exposed brick walls harken to Philly's colonial past, while their selection of many beers, wines, and food are a perfect fit for today's tastes. The affordable menu welcomes all palates, including a number of vegetarian and vegan options! And the tables on the second floor look large enough for both food & board gaming at the same time.

Glory Beer Bar & Kitchen has a revolving menu of 36 beers on tap featuring a variety of American and Local Breweries while also offering a wide array of International and Seasonal favorites. In addition to the extensive beer offerings, Glory has a dedicated tap system to red, white and rosé wine. Additionally, skilled bartenders can create a cocktail of your choosing using the finest spirits and freshest ingredients.

I'm seeing these Mondays as the perfect way to start the week -- beers or dinner with friends, plus chill and enjoy board games, maybe meeting some new friends! Kinda what MeetUp is all about, right?

A great friend of mine has been organizing a Career Exploration Workshop with the Free Library of Philadelphia for the last few years. This Career Exploration Workshop allows you to move your mindset from "job" that is just for now, to help you get over the financial hump into assisting you plan a stable career. Please join Annette Mattei, Principal of Metro Metrics as she helps you plot your next moves.

Who Wouldn't Enjoy a Drink with Friends After Work on a Wednesday?
...or just come to eat & socialize, that's OK too!

Join us on Wednesday at one of our favorite spots, TIME at 1315 Sansom Street. Look for us in the Whiskey Bar room on the first floor. TIME has both discounted drinks & bar food during Happy Hour, great for snacking or turning into dinner!

Although we are a large group & we meet in the Whiskey Bar room, if you feel the need to better socially distance, members are welcome to move into the much larger room on the first floor which is also where the live music is.

FREE LIVE MUSIC
Even though we initially gather in the Whiskey Bar room, later in the evening there will be live music in the main first floor dining room, and its totally OK to wander into that room to enjoy the music, which is free.
