If art isn't your full time profession, than what is? What other activities and/or hobbies do you enjoy?

I just retired, I used to work in IT, before that I was a carpenter. My interests are airplanes - I have built and flew one some years ago. Sailboats - I've built several and love to both build and I sail during the summer. To be able to go out on the water in a boat your have built is deeply satisfying. I'm a self taught guitarist, I've been playing for 40+ years but just recently am taking jazz guitar lessons, its been great to learn all the technical parts of music I did not know. I have always liked photography - I wish my cell phone camera was a little better. Astronomy, I've also built some telescopes as a teenager, I have just recently gotten back into astronomy.

We are curious as to each persons definition of "What is art". In a few words, give me your definition of what art is to you. Our definition of art is "a spirit of creativity that flows from mind to hand".

Art is an expression of ones self through whatever media an individual is able to most clearly reveal themselves. As it is deeply personal, and being we are all unique, art shows many forms.

How long have you been working as an artist? Would you be interested in helping plan events for this group?

Not professional, 2 years, maybe

What do you hope to learn and share as a group member? What are your future goals? What is your current age?

Common ground - friendship, freedom

What kind of art do you do or make? Do you need help with beginnng or finishing a project?

Life drawing mostly, pencil, charcoal, starting with oil

Introduction
