Not much sailing was done. The rain stopped and so did the wind but we had an enjoyable time anyway.

We couldn't make it. Pet issues that had to be dealt with.

    Hi Patty,
There is a $5 fee charged at the entrance to Texas City Dike. You might want to bring snacks, drinks (no glass), a chair, sunscreen and a lifejacket if you have one. There always seems to be plenty of food and drink. We also have extra lifejackets. Hope to see you there.

I'm considering attending this event. I have been wanting to meet you guys. I heard you need a permit to go into the TCD? Is there a charge to get in? Should be bring food/snacks/drinks? Thanks.

Dawn, the sign is about 5 feet long so it should not be hard to spot. Look for a group of small sailboats. There will be a group of catamarans there at the same time so look for the mono hulls.

Hi Kent. Since I will be driving alone and watching for a sign at the same time, can you tell me the color of the sign and the size of the sign. Hope it's not 8"x10" and black and white. Hope you enjoy my humor. LOL

One thing to note: TCDYC will be holding their Wayward Winds Regatta July 28th-29th down at the Dike. Pretty sure it will be buoy racing so you might want to be aware of the course once you get down there. Have fun and enjoy the racing!
