Drupal Commerce has evolved to become more powerful than any ecommerce solution we've worked with in the past! By cleanly integrating with views, rules, the entity api, and more, the possibilities are limitless - especially when bundled with a use-case agnostic philosophy! You could use it for donations and memberships, content access, a web hosting company, a kickstarter-like website, and far far more!
I'd be glad to show some of the basics behind building a drupal commerce website, and to explain the basic ideas behind how it works and how to streamline the UX with some community modules. We will show how one can:
* Set up and match up products with product displays using the bulk product display manager
* Allow users to toggle options on a product display's add to cart form and have the price update on the fly with AJAX
* Apply a discount rule based on field information
* Provide a payment rule
* Build views that can use references and contextual filters to provide product catalogs, popular items, possibly even a 'users who bought this' view as well.
