Thanks for joining! What brings you to our group?

I have been a member of an online writer's group for over a year now and really enjoy it. However, I am a people person and think it would be much more inspiring to be in an actual room among writer's, as opposed to a chat room online.

What would you like to accomplish in your writing each month?

Probably what everyone is looking for. To grow creatively, learn new skills and tighten up on the skills I have in place and to write, write, write and write some more. I write short stories now, but would love to write a book and be published.

What is, or are the things that hold you back from your writing goals? Would consider taking courses to improve your writing skills, or increase your chances of being published?

Working full time, being a wife and mother. Really, just finding time to write. I know I need to map out or block writing times for myself and get into a habit.

What do you write, when you write? Fiction, non-fiction? Genre? Where in a book store would you books land?

I write a little bit of everything. My first short story was based on a humorous, childhood memory. I like to write about Ghost/Supernatural and I am pretty big on Thriller/Suspense.

Are you published? Have you published? Do you want to publish? Have you considered Self-Publishing?

I have not been paid for my writing as of yet. I have stories posted online at and have won a couple of their contests. I would love to be published and if I had a finished book I would consider self publishing.

I love books! A few of my favorite authors are King, Koontz, Spindler, Cornwell, Rice & too many others to name. I discovered that I could write myself, in mid 2008, after joining an online writer's group. I have since won a few contests there.
