This group was recommended to me when I joined a church-based writer's group; I was told this group had a lot of scifi and fantasy expertise that I could draw on to develop my scifi series.
As time permits, I want to revise the books I have drafted to publishable quality.
Time management. I have a full-time engineering job that sometimes requires long hours, while I'm also trying to maintain contact with my friends and family.
I almost exclusively write soft science fiction novels, though I sometimes toy with fantasy or hard scifi or even short stories. I want to see my books in the same section with Timothy Zahn, Lois McMaster Bujold, and Wen Spencer.
I have not gotten anything published, primarily from a lack of trying. I'd like 1-2 finished drafts (and had been waiting for my BSE) before I start trying. But I'd like to try the traditional route for a few years before considering self-publishing.
Aerospace engineer by day, scifi writer by night.
