I have an M.A. in literature. I have recently returned to newspaper writing, after spending 5 years teaching in a college.

What is one of your favorite quotes?

What do you like to do for fun?

I am a part of several bookclubs, I love dancing, and I am new to wine tasting.

What do you hope to gain from this group?

I'd like to meet other African-American professionals. I recently covered an event at which the keynote speaker stated that race no longer played a part in getting jobs. I happen to know differently.

What is your profession

I can help proof/write press releases for black professionals starting new businesses. I edit all kinds of copy. I am also a good event planner and public speaker.
