The Invisible Woman: Cedar Lee Theatre / Dewey's Pizza

Back in November a few of us watched The Invisible Man. Just for the sake of equality, I can't ignore this one, now can I? And I think it's kind of nice to have a reason to look forward to the middle of the week.

Synopsis:

Nelly (Felicity Jones), a happily-married mother and schoolteacher, is haunted by her past. Her memories, provoked by remorse and guilt, take us back in time to follow the story of her relationship with Charles Dickens (Ralph Fiennes) with whom she discovered an exciting but fragile complicity. Dickens - famous, controlling and emotionally isolated within his success - falls for Nelly, who comes from a family of actors. The theatre is a vital arena for Dickens - a brilliant amateur actor - a man more emotionally coherent on the page or on stage, than in life. As Nelly becomes the focus of Dickens' passion and his muse, for both of them secrecy is the price, and for Nelly a life of "invisibility."

If I only went to films that were "highly rated" (by whom?) I would miss a lot of good ones. and 78 % is good.

86% of the "Top Critics," the only ones I pay attention to, recommended it.

This flick was not highly rated. Maybe I can attend.

No, 78% is not great. But sometimes I disagree with the reviewers. Anyway, I just have to discover what 'painterly' means: "Gorgeous and painterly from its opening frames and directed with a sure hand by its star Ralph Fiennes." ~Joe Gross, Austin American-Statesman

Also, if you read the reviews of some of the best critics, their comments are extremely interesting and thought provoking. Just looking at the total percentage of 78% does not tell you much.
