Omar - Cedar Lee Theater / Joeys on Lee (afterwards only)

I just realized that I haven't scheduled a movie for months, so I thought I would take advantage of a small break to see a movie getting great reviews.

7:20 MOVIE Cedar Lee

Meet in the theater lobby 5 minutes ahead of time or look for the group inside the theater or meet us afterward by the ticket office.

AFTER MOVIE DISCUSSION

Joey's is now where the old Jimmy's used to be.  Really close to the theater.  They have reasonably priced Italian cuisine.

DESCRIPTION

Omar is accustomed to dodging surveillance bullets to cross the separation wall to visit his secret love Nadia. But occupied Palestine knows neither simple love nor clear-cut war. On the other side of the wall, the sensitive young baker Omar becomes a freedom fighter who must face painful choices about life and manhood. When Omar is captured after a deadly act of resistance, he falls into a cat-and-mouse game with the military police. Suspicion and betrayal jeopardize his longtime trust with accomplices and childhood friends Amjad and Tarek, Nadia's militant brother. Omar's feelings quickly become as torn apart as the Palestinian landscape. But it's soon evident that everything he does is for his love of Nadia.

REVIEW

A riveting blend of thriller and romance elements, "Omar" grabs you from the very first image.

Average action packed movie dealing with the tough issues that are faced by people living in areas where their loyalty is being questioned.

It was an okay movie. The action scenes were well done and there were twists to the plots. Good discussion and company afterwards. Joey's is very nice.

I'm a bit confused - you mention 3 different restaurants - Lopez, Sezchwaan Garden and Joey's. Where do we go when? -- I really want to see this, but as it is my birthday, B may be planning something else as a surprise. Whether I am there or not, enjoy. Soundslike a real discussion starter!
