The Fault in our Stars / Ridge Park Square / Aldo's

  • AMC Ridge Park Square Cinema 8

4788 Ridge Rd, Cleveland, OH (map)

    41.425224 -81.734352

  • We usually meet near the ticket booth area ahead of time and after the movie. Or catch up with us afterward at the restaurant (ask to sit with the "movie group")
  • Okay, so it may be a stretch to say that this is an Independent film, but once in a while it is okay to see a film that may turn out to be quite enjoyable.

We don't usually meet at Ridge Park Square, but it is only 5 minutes west of 77 and Rockside and is much easier to get to than Valley View.  Plus, we get to eat at a cool Cleveland restaurant.

    6:30 MOVIE

Purchase your ticket and meet at the entrance to the theater at 6:30.  Since the previews are interminably long, we can walk in about 6:35.

    9:00 EATS and DISCUSSION

Aldo's is a Cleveland tradition.  They have reasonably priced Italian as well as good pizza.  It is a 5 minute drive from the theater (north on Ridge, left on Memphis.  On the left right before Roadin road.)

    8459 Memphis Ave, Brooklyn, OH 44144.  (216)[masked]

Tips for improving your restaurant experience:

    • Print a map or enter the address in your GPS ahead of time.

    • Bring CASH to pay for your meal.

    • When you arrive, ask to sit at the "Movie Group" table.

Hazel and Gus are two extraordinary teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them - and us - on an unforgettable journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous, given that they met and fell in love at a cancer support.

It's a fresh, lively love story, brimming with humor and heartbreak, and lifted to the heights by Shailene Woodley, a sublime actress with a résumé that pretty much proves she's incapable of making a false move on camera

I would love to see this and have been wanting to try Pura Vida but go to a Creation Spirituality conference that weekend-have to hang out with non-conventional types to maintain my title of "Free Thinker." (Bestowed upon me by Renu)

Saw a screening if this movie. Very well done. Shaillene Woodly is amazing!! Bring your Kleenex--it's a cry worth having for such a well done Hollywood film with meaning and depth.
