The Internet's Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz/ LemonGrass

If you liked the WikiLeaks movie last will have to see this movie!!

The story of programming prodigy and information activist Aaron Swartz. From Swartz's help in the development of the basic internet protocol RSS to his co-founding of Reddit, his fingerprints are all over the internet. But it was Swartz's groundbreaking work in social justice and political organizing combined with his aggressive approach to information access that ensnared him in a two year legal nightmare. It was a battle that ended with the taking of his own life at the age of 26. Aaron's story touched a nerve with people far beyond the online communities in which he was a celebrity. This film is a personal story about what we lose when we are tone deaf about technology and its relationship to our civil liberties.

Tips for improving the restaurant experience:

Let us know your dinner plans when you RSVP so that we can either save you a seat at the "Movie Group" table or plan to meet you at the movie.

We can't always split the checks so please bring CASH to pay for your meal.

If you don't see us when you walk in, ask to sit with the "Movie Group".

The $5.00 yearly fee (or $1.50 for one movie) goes toward charges incurred for using the MeetUp website. You can access PayPal (see link in left hand column) or pay your fee to the Organizer at the event.

In the world of Independent films, it is recommended that you check back a few days before the event to make sure the movie, restaurant, location or time has not changed.

Karen, I am very sorry for the no show, no good excuse, I was very tired, had seen 11 clients the day before (I'm a psychotherapist) and just couldn't move fast enough to make the movie. I love this group and am usually reliable, was really looking forward to this. Trust me, not going to make a habit of this.

I am sorry. At the last minute, literally, I discovered I would not be able to go. Please forgive me. This was to be my first meetup with this group and I hate to give a bad impression. Also, could someone provide me with details of how to meet the host to pay my yearly dues and details of how I am to know where you all will be in the theatre?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
