The Dog & Dog Day Afternoon double feature: Capitol Theater

It's been a while since I've seen the Al Pacino classic. Preceding it is a new documentary about the actual events. A bargain at $10 for both.

5:45  EATS at Happy Dog

When you arrive, ask to sit  at the "Movie Group" table.  (5801 Detroit Avenue)

7:00 MOVIES at the Capitol- "The Dog" followed by "Dog Day Afternoon"

Meet near the entrance door to the theater 5 minutes ahead of time or look for the group inside the theater or meet us afterward by the door.

Let's meet by the front door of the Capitol.  IF we want to (we can decide at that time) we can walk to the XYZ Tavern to discuss the films. (XYZ Tavern is at 6419 Detroit Road).

Special double-feature event featuring an advance screening of the new documentary "The Dog" which recounts the true story of John Wojtowicz who robbed a bank to pay for his lover's sex change operation. Following the screening of "The Dog" stay for a screening of the Oscar-winning film "Dog Day Afternoon" starring Al Pacino which was based on this incredible true story.

Interesting film--although his character was disturbing. Carolyn--very creative idea for a meetup. Thanks for organizing and a great evening.

I'm really sorry to cancel at the last minute like this, but a critical family situation requires that I stay at home tonight. Hope to meet everyone soon!
