This movie has been getting rave reviews and the trailers looked compelling. A don't-miss, psychological thriller movie by noted director Darren Aronofsky probably will involved in the Oscars. Has an 8.9 rating on IMDB and a 86% fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes.

[ 6:00 EATS
If you need to eat before the movie, The Stone Oven is a great self service establishment. Great sandwiches, salads, etc. Service is fast. Group members usually sit at the high tables in the middle. It is about a 5 minute walk to the theater, so leave around 10 minutes prior to the start of the movie to meet the rest of the group in the lobby.

7:00 ishMOVIE
Meet at the ENTRANCE DOOR 5 minutes ahead of time or look for the group inside the theater or meet us afterward outside the entrance door in the lobby.

AFTER MOVIE DISCUSSION
Jimmy's, at 2195 Lee, is a block left of the theater and is expecting us afterward for coffee, beer and beet cake.

DESCRIPTION
"Black Swan" follows the story of Nina, a ballerina in a New York City ballet company whose life, like all those in her profession, is completely consumed with dance. When artistic director Thomas Leroy decides to replace prima ballerina Beth MacIntyre for the opening production of their new season, "Swan Lake," he narrows his choices to Nina and a new dancer, Lily. "Swan Lake" requires a dancer who can play both the White Swan with innocence and grace, and the Black Swan, who represents guile and sensuality. Nina fits the White Swan role perfectly but Lily is the personification of the Black Swan. As the two young dancers expand their rivalry, Nina becomes dangerously more in touch with her dark side.

PARKING: There is metered/garage parking in back of the theatre and metered parking in back of Stone Oven, so bring a few quarters. Credit cards work in the garage.
A free parking lot is on Edgewood road, one block west of Lee road at Cedar.

NOTE TO FIRST TIME GOERS: If this is your first movie with the group, there is no fee to attend.

This group has been successful partly because members have a genuine interest in meeting fellow independent movie goers. We don't always know where to look for you, especially first timers.

We have multiple meeting places: 1. Entrance door to the movie in the theater hallway 5-10 minutes before the movie starts, 2. By the Marquee (or entrance door) after the movie, or 3. Reserved table at a restaurant under the name "Movie Group".

We don't always sit together in the movie theater but if you see a bunch of people talking about good movies they have seen, it is probably us. Please join in. We are always happy to get new people involved.

NOTE TO ALL: In the world of Independent films, it is recommended that you check back a few days before the event to make sure the movie, restaurant, location or time has not changed.
