Hi everyone

With this next event, we are already into March. You are invited to a very touching and controversial movie. Afterwards, plan on coming to Jims house to cheer up, if you want to.

I would also like to welcome new members Vicki, Zak (who has already attended his first meetup), Adam, Kay Toni, and Eric. We hope to see all of you at a movie soon.

Event details...
What: 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days : Cedar Lee Theater / Jims House
When: Sunday, March 2, 2:30 PM
Food expenses: USD10.00 per person

Meeting Description: In our politically charged times, an American movie studio would never make a movie that dealt with a young woman going through an abortion. So we look to Romania who address the topic straight on and might affect you more than anything you will see all year.

2:15-2:45 MOVIE: Meet at the movie entrance door IN THE THEATER HALLWAY 5 minutes ahead of time or look for the group inside the theater or meet us afterwards near the marquis.

4:45- 5:15 EATS AND DISCUSSION: At Jims house, the food quality is known to be a bit uneven (anything from spaghetti-o's in a can to filet mignon, sometimes in the same meal), so we will be ordering pizza and pop. Cash is highly recommended.

*** If you plan on joining us at Jims, please tell us on your RSVP what you might like to bring (wine, beer, appetizer, salad, dessert, or chip in extra money for pizza). Cindy may contact you to make sure we don't get too much of one type of food.***

Maps will be handed out at the theater near the marquis. It is a little over 10 minutes drive. If you only intend to attend the party, indicate that on your RSVP and I will send you a map a couple of days ahead of time.

DESCRIPTION: In Romania in the 1980s, under the last communist government there, Otilia (Anamaria Marinca) and Gabita (Laura Vasiliu) are roommates at a university. When Gabita discovers she is pregnant, Otilia helps her on her journey to visit an illegal, back alley abortion clinic.

PARTY ACTIVITIES: Michael will be presenting his recommendations for the film festival that starts later in the week. Please bring a recommendation for a movie that you really enjoyed but people probably have never heard of.
