Italian Film Festival

Ciao Tutti,

For those going to the Italian Film Festival events at the Cedar Lee, Jimmy O’Neill’s Irish Tavern has closed.  The festival dinners have been moved to the Cedar-Lee Pub & Grill a few doors closer to the theater.  The Cedar-Lee Pub is a larger space.

In the past, Jimmy’s has served the Italian Film Festival with outstanding buffet dinners that were always a highlight of the celebration.  As well, the Irish bar was a long-time gathering spot for the Independent Movie Group for a post-film discussion and beer.  Now it seems that Jimmy’s infamous and decadent Beet Cake is toast or should I say history.

I’ve heard reports that the building was sold and Mr. O’Neill was not in the new owner’s plans.  Here’s a toast to Jimmy with hope that he finds another spot in the neighborhood.

Ciao,
Bill

ps:  If you wanted tickets for the Sold Out September 15 Opening Night, you might inquire again.  I also heard that a few may be available - call[masked] or email your request:  [address removed]
