I've only been to a few of the actual meet-ups, but I've been super-busy doing Improvisation-related stuff...
Anyway, I plan on being down at the CIFF on various days, especially on the weekends, to see as many films as I can.
I thought it would be a good idea to have a meeting place where group members can get together between films (time permitting) to share reactions or plan on which movies to see next. For those of you who haven't been there (Tower City Cinemas) during the Festival, it can get pretty hectic. Maybe we could meet sometime before the festival to share tips about how best to enjoy it or go over the schedule. We can also do it via email - but to keep the exposure on this mailing list minimal, you could mail me at [address removed], and I'll keep those who are interested informed.
So far, I have tickets for "My Brother is an Only Child" (Italy) on Mar 7, 6:45.
In any case, even if you don't have time to meet up - I encourage everyone to go! I went down on a Saturday last year, and ended up seeing 4 films in one day (and two the next).
PS: I have been taking classes for improvisation and our class is doing a free show at Kennedy's Playhouse Square on Mar 8th at 8:30 for anyone interested. (Damn - that's right in the middle of the film festival)
