We have a lot of things to cover this week.
First of all, welcome new members Ashley, Kathy, Carol and our most active new member, Craig.
Craig and a friend are sponsoring locally Pangea Global Film Day on May 10 from 2-6 at Saravas (Shaker Square) and Talkies (Ohio City). This global event will be showing the best independent films out of 2500 that were submitted.
This will be a great opportunity to meet other independent moviegoers and to "to strengthen tolerance and compassion while uniting millions of people to build a better future." And its free.
I hope you will be able to make it. You can register directly on their site for either location. http://www.cat-strat.com/10May2008.html
Later this month, we will be seeing a documentary (?) that I believe will tickle your funny bone. These movies were produced for Mormons in the 1960's and will give us a glimpse of the mindset at that time. (In other words, they are funny.)
It is on May 23 at the Cinemateque and is being introduced by a Mormon film expert (?)The Mormon Church Explains it All t?
Finally, we will probably try to fit in a movie before that. Look for an email from Michael soon.
Have a great day. See you at the Visitor on Sunday.
