The Artist - Feb. 29 at the Valley View Cinemark

Hi everyone,
The group just came back from Pina 3D.  The group loved the visuals and the creativity, but perhaps more background on the Pina and why should created the dances she did.  Overall, a worthwhile film.
As you may know, we had to cancel Pariah due to the lateness of the movie (9:30 at night).  This doesn't scare Alan so if you would like to  see it,  he will be there tomorrow / Monday night.  You can reach him at
This Tuesday, we will be heading back to the Capitol again to see the Oscar shorts.  Just in time for the Academy Awards.
Who would have thought that we would see two films from Iran in the same weekend.  Children of Heaven is a cute story about a kid who loses his shoes.  It is delightful and about the only type of film that can get past the censors.  It is at Lakeland.  It is free.  It starts with an introduction by a professor.  It includes free popcorn.
Also, it is not that far east as you may think.  I made it from downtown in just over 25 minutes (not speeding).  Lakeland and Panera are really close to the 306 exit.  And it is not like we are planning to have any snow....
Then, on Saturday, we will be seeing perhaps the most anticipated film in a long time, "A Separation".  If this were an American film or if live were fair, this would be up for an Oscar for best picture.  This is what I am hearing from the reviews.  We will also have an excellent meal at A Phiner Bistro afterward.
While there are no spots left, you can put your name on the Waiting list.  Alternatively, if anyone wants to schedule a second event with a different restaurant, let me know and I can help you organize it.
The Declaration of War film, like an old soldier, just faded away.  Since there is nothing else that is standing out, I still want to see The Artist.  I am hoping I will have some company.  We are going to Valley View on Feb. 29.
