This Tuesday, we will be heading back to the Capitol again to see the Oscar
shorts. Just in time for the Academy Awards.
Who would have thought that we would see two films from Iran in the same
weekend. Children of Heaven is a cute story about a kid who loses his
shoes. It is delightful and about the only type of film that can get past
the censors. It is at Lakeland. It is free. It starts with an
introduction by a professor. It includes free popcorn.
Also, it is not that far east as you may think. I made it from
downtown in just over 25 minutes (not speeding). Lakeland and Panera are
really close to the 306 exit. And it is not like we are planning to have
Then, on Saturday, we will be seeing perhaps the most anticipated film in a
long time, "A Separation". If this were an American film or if live were
fair, this would be up for an Oscar for best picture. This is what I am
hearing from the reviews. We will also have an excellent meal at A Phiner

The Declaration of War film, like an old soldier, just faded
away. Since there is nothing else that is standing out, I still want
to see The Artist. I am hoping I will have some
company. We are going to Valley View on Feb. 29.
