Hi everyone,
I know that a number of you just saw Sabina on Friday and Intouchables this past Wednesday, which was a good film and is recommended.  Not a bad week for movies.
Yes, it stars Jack Black, but it is supposed to be a very good film.  We are meeting on Wednesday.  I hope you can make it.  We are meeting ahead of time for dinner at Marotta's.  They are known to be a bit slow so try to be there as close to 6 as possible.  With cash in hand.
Hopefully, it isn't the last day, but the Cinematheque is showing a movie that imagines what that last day would be.  The group is meeting at the Falafel Café ahead of time.  Hope you can make it.  I am sure it will introduce much conversation. Saturday at 8.
Many of you have been asking about seeing this film.  Even if you have been locked out of the movie event, you certainly can still go see it at the Cinematheque.  I have seen the film and liked it very much.  If you throw away any pre-conceived notion of what a Russian film should be, this should encourage you even to attend more.   It is very creative.
Check out these upcoming festivals.  Maybe there is something worth scheduling that you would be willing to organize.
JUNE 19-JULY 31, 2012 - Foreign Film Cultural Journeys at University Heights library.  They take place on Tuesdays at 6 pm.  They are free.
JULY 25-AUGUST 19, 2012 - Cinema at the Square at Playhouse Square.  Come see the classic films on the big screen.
If any of these events look interesting to you, let me know and I can get you squared away to schedule one or more films.
Also, check this link for a list of all film Festivals and movie organizations in town (under menu option "Pages")
If you have already paid, thank you very much and no need to look further.
Otherwise, your dues of $5.00 are very important in  order for us to host directors coming into town and pay for the website.  Please select the link or pay your organizer AT THE NEXT GROUP EVENT if you haven't already.
