Lawrence of Arabia: Cleveland Cinemateque / Guarino's

From: Jims
Sent on: Saturday, February 7, 2009 5:13 PM
Hi everyone

I hope you are enjoying the weather.

Welcome to the follow new members:

Aynur (Movies that think really rock)
Eric (Glad to see you like indy movies a lot)

As an FYI, Lakeland is having its Film Festival. The movies are free.

Speaking of that, it is only a little over a month before the Cleveland International Film Festival.

Also, if anyone wants to schedule a meetup or post a note about an event, feel free to contact any of our organizers. We will help you do that.

Finally, our focus is really on movies that make you think. Usually it is Independent and Foreign films that fall into that category. Our next movie, Lawrence of Arabia is certainly one of those movies, although it was meant for the mainstream. Who knows if it were made today whether Mall Cop would squeeze it out of every theater but the Cedar Lee? Anyways, this is a true classic (that I have never seen). I am looking forward to you joining me to to see a film that still resonates today. Ask the president.

When: February 22,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque
11141 East Blvd
Cleveland, OH 44106

Fee: $1.50 or $5 for 2009.

You can always get in touch with me through the "Contact Organizer" link on Meetup:
