On the eve of the 33rd Annual Film Festival

Hi Everyone

I have never seen so much excitement about the Film Festival as this year. Even if you can't see a movie with the group, just go. Pick a movie. This is the reason that we may hit over 60,000 people. We are fortunate to have one of the best film festivals in the world.

I want to say thanks to member George who provided me with a free film festival pass in exchange for writing about the festival for the Heights Observer. It will give us a little more press.

But let's just say that this isn't enough press. As I said a few weeks back, George won a trip to California to see the opening of "Up". This was sponsored by Roger Ebert. His column last week devotes a good amount of space to George. Not only that, but George had Ebert put in a plug for the Cleveland Independent Movie Goers.

So, I guess we are national now :-)

After the lights go out for the festival, our quest to see the world's best movies continues. Check out the Great Buck Howard for April 9.

The Great Buck Howard: Cedar Lee Th?

See you at the festival, a little bloodshot, but that much richer.

Warm regards,
Jim
