Hello Everyone,

Hope you all had a great long weekend! Unfortunately for all of us, it’s over much too soon.

The group kicked off the weekend with Museum Hours at CMA. I think we filled up half the theater. The film reviews were mixed but we had a great time at Club Isabella. Thanks to Susan for organizing for such a large gathering.

Closed Circuit is an international suspense thriller with a great cast that promises to be entertaining.

Scheduled Friday, September 6th at the Cedar Lee.

Ain’t Them Bodies Saints is the second film by a promising new director. Set in Texas, this movie is being acclaimed for its cinematography.

Scheduled Saturday, September 7th at the Cedar Lee.

The Act of Killing is a documentary about leaders of death squads who killed millions in Indonesia in the 1960’s.

Scheduled Friday, September 13th at the Cedar Lee

Salinger is a documentary about the life of J. D Salinger.

Scheduled Saturday, September 14th at the Cedar Lee.

The Wall is a highly original exploration of the experience of solitude and survival set in a spectacularly beautiful Austrian mountain landscape.

Scheduled Sunday, September 15th at CMA

As you all know, Jim is taking some time off from organizing meetups –so, we need new organizers. You can pick the movie you want to see and also the restaurant that appeals to you. It’s easy and fun and you might even make some new friends. Your dues are also waived. Please contact Jim or Renu if you are interested.
