Bible Bashing Blasphemy Day

It's Blasphemy Day. on Sept. 30th. And I thought we could celebrate with a good old fashioned bible bashing. But just so we're not showing the other religions any partiality, please bring your Korans, Bhagavad-Gitas, Book of Mormon or any other kookie religious book you feel may need a good bashing.

I mean no holds barred here. From talking donkey's to walking zombies. Let's have some fun with this silly stuff.

The meetup was somewhat nebulous unfocused ramblings of Freethinkers thinking freely having a nice, lively discussion. Interesting. It got a little off topic pretty quickly, if there ever was one. I think some freethinkers might have a slight misunderstanding about what "religion" is. Not all are alike. It might be interesting to have a speaker sometime who is knowledgeable about these things.

We got off the blasphemy track a bit, but no matter- great discussion and very good participation. It was a pleasure to meet Jean and James!

Work prevented me from going. I was contacted for an appointment. I didn't get to go. I am planning on going to a meetup in Independence next Saturday. I won't get derailed from this one.

It was a lively and interesting discussion, the attendees all participated, and there were some newer people like myself. Several points were made, the discussion seemed to flow from one point to another

The more I study the Bible the closer I get to being an atheist!? :-/

Well, actually, as literature, the Gita is quite good. As literature. So, I wouldn't be bashing that one.

I kind of lost my soft spot for Hindu religions. I find it sort of wooey.

Meh, it's better than the Bible, but it has its moments.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
