Honesty is always the best policy.

Besides, it takes a LOT of work and effort to maintain a lie. Think about how much "money" they (wouldn't have to print up) if they didn't have to use to pay the Media off!

For those interested... Last night the truth came out about the tooth fairy, Santa, and the Easter Bunny. My first grade son was not disappointed at all! In fact, he thought he was cool because he knows a "secret" and was trying to decide if he should keep it to himself among his classmates, or SELL it to them.... Ugh oh.... Gotta put an end to another "secret society" before it gets out of hand! Lol!

Oh of course. You seem like an awesome and well informed parent. My point was and is simple. It is impossible to choose whether or not a child is exposed to the local mythology and also impossible to choose for a person what they believe.

and shut up Randy. lol

Maybe my idea of parenting is different than all others but I never once considered part of the job shutting them out of life. Just because I don't control the universe does not mean I have no choice on how I parent - meaning helping them grow and learn all about life. Parenting is not about being a control freak; you will lose that battle. It's about confronting society WITH your children and HELPING them understand it.

Wow. This conversation took a strange turn, huh?

It's called Maritime admiralty law, it exists but is on the fence as to whether it applies on land and to us or not. I think it does. No one seems to have a definitive answer at to whether or not capitis diminutio even exists.

Try to raise a child without ever 'allowing' them to see the Easter bunny or Santa Clause. Decide for the school what they will be taught. Even home school is not your choice. You think you have a choice but you do not. Your supposed freedom ends where your driveway meets their sidewalk. The only way you have a 'choice' is to keep your child indoors and even then they will see lights and decorations from the window. You don't even decide what they believe. The term adult is a false confidence instilling social engineering term. Both the adult and the child are 'children' of the state. A modern buzz statement goes like this, "It's not the Statue of Freedom, it's the State of Liberty." Freedom is free, Liberty requires permission. You signed the certificate and received the injections therefor you do not choose what the young person sees, and only the person themselves can choose what they believe.
You're claiming the parent has the choice. I'm claiming the choice was made for them.

Sorry, I disagree with this statement in its entirety.  Not enough time to argue point by point, but yours is a completely false statement.  Please show laws and cases to support your contention. A completely insane statement.

No, it's not. From the moment the birth certificate is signed the parents wave their rights and allow the kid to represent a legal fiction giving the state control and ownership of the child. The state pushes religion and materialism on all their property. The parents have no choice as the God myth was pushed on them as well. They are only perpetuating their human habitual nature and reinforcing the pre programed, pre approved belief structure on the next generation.

And yes, ages 5 and 6 are definitely the parents' responsibility.
