Perhaps some non-Christian religious groups ought to donate artwork demonstrating their own beliefs.  A local freethinker group could donate a blow-up of a Hubble photo of the Deep Sky.  And yes, the Baptist group below "gets" it!

The picture is clearly a Jesus figure.  Perfectly appropriate in the "hall of honor" at Saint Patricks, or Saint Ignatius or Bob Jones University. Inside a public middle school, not so appropriate!

That said, this thing has been there since 1947!  Funny nobody noticed or complained before!

The FFRF has filed a complaint about a Christ-on-display at a southern Ohio middle school:

Needlessly going after small fry? If the portrait happened to be artwork by a student there, hung amongst other artworks, then freedom of expression for the student must be taken into consideration- but, apparently the image was done elsewhere & given to the school as a gift by a student group. Ironically, the Baptists understand-

I'm pretty sure this is the Christ pic-

Solution- since that's such a "rugged" depiction of Jesus, the school can hang the name "Slade McChrist" below it, and be done with the FFRF! :)
