I have to agree with Sam here. I seriously doubt that the "gay agenda" or any other agenda was even thought of during pre-production discussions and casting etc.
 
But also, this wasn't done by or for the NFL, but by CBS as a means of promoting their coverage of the NFL Super Bowl!
