Not you.  I kind of lump you all in the same category.  Nufeks(?) TC3. M. Orel.  Similar thinking.  More enchanted with symboligy (whatever the spelling).

More and more, I’ve come to the conclusion that symbolism is for idiots.
Oh, it’s you!  You’re the main driving force for this conclusion.

Is there any symbolism? One eye stuff or black and white pillar flashes are common.

Apparently, more than a few folks are noticing and commenting on the possible racism and coloring of this god-awful miniseries!

While I have stopped watching as the series is so bland and sanitized that its own mediocrity offends, others have watched and seen that

1)  Most of the Jews portrayed--including Jesus--are being portrayed as being basically Jeffrey Hunter-style blue-eyed blondes!  There is one exception: Samson is portrayed as a big-butt giant black guy (with his mom being portrayed as a black single mom!!).  Apparently, Dolph Lundgren was not available and of course the producers would never have stereotyped black Sammy as being without a father in his life!

2) While Jesus looks like he would be at home on a Wisconsin farm, Satan is portrayed -yep you guessed it-- as a black guy! lol  Worse, a number of folks seem to see more than a passing resemblance to our own President Barack Obama!   Hmmm!

As I have stated before, this series should have been called BIBLE-LITE.  Looks like it was made for showing in a Christian fundamentalist school's Sixth Grade, or for kids being home-schooled by Fundamentalist parents.  Basically ALL parts of the actual Bible that are remotely controversial or even hint at God/Yahweh being a bloodthirsty tyrannical monster have been excluded from the shooting script (and I really do not think for a second that any of these things were included in even the first draft of the screenplay!).

For anyone familiar with the Bible and NOT a wide-eyed devotional Christian, the series is neither well-made nor truly faithful to the spirit of the book or to the grimness of many of the book's stories!
