It would be great if the ones who are trying to create life from scratch
would succeed. That might help settle some BIG questions.
My assumption is that they won't, though. I think that the creation of a
single cell by natural processes would probably take a LOT of time- tens,
hundreds, thousands, maybe millions of years, who knows? I would tend to
believe that these processes would be almost impossible to accelerate in an
