I like the fact that the doctors and nurses knew the patients were non-believers. ha ha ha

ROFL! Soooo funny. Yep, doctors and nurses are just brimming over with stories like this--in fact---every nurse or doctor I've talked to has kept me up all night with such stories. I used to be a nursing assistant, and I tended people who were dying. why, I have enough hell stories to fill a

Uhm

Yeah--I don't have any. Oh, wait, nope, not a one.

This all stemmed from the people dying from Ebola.  The American doctor that is dying, the article mentions how his family is very religious and god is going to either heal him or take him home.  I just get pissed, so I ranted a bit.  Then, people started slamming me with replies (some were on my side). I replied back and I thought the reply from New Mexico was one of the first I ever heard as to why they don't want to die yet to see their maker.

MY COMMENT:
(The "FYI to JimB" is because he said to me: No person over the age of 30 would make such as antagonistic, snarky comment such as yours.)
For those that believe that life in "heaven" is better, why do you go to doctors to get better? Why do you NOT want to DIE immediately to be with your heavenly father? It makes no sense. Now, having faith is great, but when you are living a life that is strictly to get to that next level (that you do not know for sure exists), you are not doing well for mankind and the advancement of our planet for future humans. FYI, JimB - I am 45, so I guess being over 30 just made me a bit wiser. :)

A REPLY FROM SOMEONE (their name was New Mexico):
Sheripres, Good question. God has put each and every single one of us on this earth for a purpose, to fellowship with Him. But it's up to each individual to choose that for him or herself. For those us us who have chosen to be His and to follow His direction, we have additional duties to our families, our neighbors and people we'll never meet. When we get sick, we go to doctor's for the same reason that anyone else does: we have family to take care of, friends we don't want to leave. I can't wait to get to Heaven. If the Rapture were to happen in 10 minutes, it wouldn't be too soon. My life isn't lived to get to some next level. No one can earn Heaven or work their way to it. Christians, aren't perfect, but if we live our lives with God's help, we show kindness, patience, hope, faith, etc. And I do know that Heaven exists. I've listened to Christians on the brink of death who have seen it, just as I've listened to horrified doctors and nurses who have watch unbelievers die who saw HelL.

MY REPLY:
New Mexico, you believe in second hand stories?  If I told you that I have a unicorn in my back yard and if all my neighbors tell you the same thing, are you going to believe it?  Again; nothing wrong with the word "faith", but I think you have fear of dying without having some kind of destination after death.  Now, if you go to heaven and you have someone in your family go to hell, will you still be happy knowing your loved one is burning for eternity?
