Center for Inquiry Northeast Ohio is finalizing details for their biennial conference, to be held on Saturday, October 4 from 9am to 4pm. Going all sciency this time around! The theme will be "Science Peers into the Future" and featured guest speakers include:

*A noted astrophysicist who is involved in research on numerous cosmic things, including dark matter, dark energy, black holes, galaxy formation, etc. Also delves into the philosophy of science.

*A scientist whose areas of expertise include artificial intelligence (and "superintelligence") and biometrics, also a cybersecurity expert

*A scientist who works at the interface of biomolecular engineering, materials science and biomedical research; one current area of research is "green nanotechnology"

And (most likely)

*A research scientist who works in the area of climate change and especially its expected effects on ecosystems (including our regional ecosystems)

It will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Independence. More details in a couple of weeks- be sure to save the date!
