Is there any reason why we can't combine the "Freedom from Religion" group with the Cleveland Humanism group? There are different people in each group, but also some of the same people. Does anyone know the people in the Freedom from Religion group? Maybe you can persuade them to join the April meetup!

What about the CFI group? Or the Agnostics group? The Atheist Group? Please let me know if you have contacts in any of these groups. I can invite them to ours, but I have to do it individually and it's a bit of a pain. Maybe someone knows something I don't about inviting the group as a whole.

We are members of FFRF. It is a good organization. They have a newspaper with much info. The group in Taladaga ALAnnie Gaylor has a three day meeting over July 4th. Annie GAylor may be able to give you some contacts in Cleveland. (agaylor@ffrf.org) Their web site is ffrf, org

There is a Freedom From religion group in cleveland as in Dan Barker's National Group?

There are atheist and agnostic meetups or just alert lists?

I am on the alert list for a Cleveland FFR meetup but unless I missed t, I don't know as a group has formed. I have been getting the national FFRF newspaper (which comes in a plain brown wrapper btw-HAHAHAHA!-one would think I ordered up porn or something!) and there is some excellent stuff in there, they also sponsor students who have written essays on why they are freethinkers, etc. As a whole, for me personally, FFRF is a bit too militant atheistic for me. I'm not really into being militantly atheistic. I find religious beliefs unreasoned, but really respect those who want to have those beliefs. However, I am militantly opposed to ANY religious bent being considered in legislation and national policy. FFRF seems to aim more to change individual's minds about religion and I'm just not into that. Just like growing up Catholic, I was never into that whole missionary thing where you go out and try to convert people. But FFRF has some great programs and info.
