Apparently, government officials in the U.S. can be sworn into office wearing full religious regalia. (As if the book isn't blatant enough.) This minister--just 2.5 hours from Cleveland--not only made that display when taking public office, he also then leveraged his official position to make statements promoting the very specific beliefs of his own denomination.

Unbelievable. (Does anyone think the Church of the Subgenius would be allowed to get away with this kind of grandstanding??)

I'm not sure which is more disturbing: his congregation's particular conception of "God" (I may have nightmares!) or the way he claims with a straight face that this faith is backed by "science."
